Julia's art is a reflection of psychological processes that happens in your mind and soul when you decided to become the best version of yourself, to achieve your goals and go make your dreams come true.
The story begins in 2013 when I first tried my hand at sculpture. Back then, I had no idea I could become a true artist, but my passion for art had been with
me since childhood. Growing up during Russia's restructuring was challenging; I pleaded to enroll in art school, but my parents had little time
for my desires due to the need to work hard for survival. Now, I appreciate not having a traditional art education, as it allowed me to develop a unique style.
Learning to draw as an adult, I opted for online art school, completing courses in academic drawing, watercolor, oil painting, botanical illustration, fashion
illustration, and human anatomy.
This unconventional path, without a live teacher by my side, gave me the freedom to learn at my own pace, and being an introvert, online learning suited me well. Simultaneously, I delved into botanical sculpture, crafting flowers from polymer clay and sharing my skills. A turning point came in 2018-2019 when I seriously contemplated my artistic career. Despite having skills, I lacked understanding of how to navigate the vast art world. I studied the art market, read extensively, and gained insights that inspired me.
In spring 2019, I painted my first significant pieces—one with acrylics, others using epoxy resin and clay flowers I sculpted. One of them sold immediately,
a positive sign. However, joy turned to sorrow when I experienced a miscarriage. It was a profound moment, leading me to realize it was time for something different—something greater.
Unexpectedly, I found myself invited to exhibit at the French Embassy in Washington D.C. in September
2019, creating works with Czech crystal stones and flowers, marking the beginning of my journey into the world of fine art—coincidentally named the
French Collection.

Upon returning from the exhibition, I began working on my first significant oil collection, and For Your Rights, addressing the struggle against internal demons – limiting beliefs, self-doubt, and everything that hinders our happiness. Yes, to build a new version of myself, I had to wield the axe quite skillfully – breaking down everything that hindered me and constructing what was needed. It was a fascinating period; no one in my surroundings understood what was happening or why axes suddenly appeared. Yet, it resulted in a complete collection of 11 axes adorned with pearls and gemstones – truly breathtaking beauty!
